June shaping up as bumper month for NMR gold tally
Mon June 22 2026
June is expected to deliver Native Mineral Resources its highest monthly gold production since recommissioning the Blackjack plant near Charters Towers.
The company said increased feed availability from multiple mining areas, together with continued strong plant performance, had resulted in three successful gold smelts during June and a further smelt planned before month-end.
NMR completed its latest gold smelt yesterday, producing 406.4oz of gold doré across three bars, including two elution bars and one gravity bar.
This followed a smelt completed on June 14 which produced three gold doré bars (BJM065–067) totalling 397.8oz doré. Official refinery results subsequently returned 194.4oz gold and 129.4oz silver from an official doré weight of 392.7oz.
“Blackjack’s latest gold pour continues the improved production trend we have seen throughout June and demonstrates the benefits of enhanced mine sequencing and operational performance across the Blackjack operation.
“The exceptional 81.45 per cent purity achieved from gravity bar BJM065 is particularly encouraging and highlights the quality of material currently being processed.
“With another gold pour scheduled before the end of June and refinery results pending from the latest pour, we believe the company is well positioned to deliver its strongest monthly gold production since recommissioning the Blackjack processing plant last year.”
The company is carrying out mining at Blackjack and Podosky pits while continuing work to establish the historical Far Fanning mine site as a future mining front within its broader Charters Towers portfolio.
Far Fanning is already acting as a source of supplemental plant feed to Blackjack through the haulage of mineralised stockpile material.
