Over 50 tons of gold kept in National Bank of Kyrgyzstan
Over 50 tons of gold are kept in the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov said.
"President Sadyr Japarov has cured the economy of Kyrgyzstan from cancer in form of the Kumtor remaining in hands of the foreign company," Cabinet Chairman Japarov said.
"Over 410 tons of gold from the Kumtor mine were taken out of Kyrgyzstan for 28 years. Not a single gram of gold remained in Kyrgyzstan," the Cabinet Chairman said.
"Due to clean intentions of the authorities, more than 50 tons of gold are kept in the National Bank now. This ensures financial stability of the country," Akylbek Japarov said.
