Global gold mining: China retains leadership, production in developing countries grows

Fineko/abc.az. By the end of 2024, global gold production reached 3,267 tons (a rise of 0.5% against 2023). ABC.AZ informs that China remains the leader with 377 tons (+0.6%). Russia is in 2nd place (nearly 330 tons), Australia - 3rd (290 tons), where production has been declining for the third year in a row.
Growth was recorded in Canada (+1%), Ghana (+3.2%) and Mexico (+2.4%). In the USA, there is decrease of 5.9%. Among the countries with the most noticeable growth in production are Ghana and Mexico.
